Invited by Mrs Sue Tan and Deputy of our school's Business to 'Xiao Niang Guo', a Shanghai-nese restaurant, Friday. 4 storey restaurant, posh enough, private room booking. Their husbands came, nice and experienced people. Mrs Sue Tan and husband been making frequent trips down to China, gave us good tips on where to travel, good food thats around! (:
Engaged in political and economical talks that went round the dining table.
China Beer, 5 course dinner (sashimi was the highlight! It was good!), left the table feeling nice and contented! :D
Working night ended with a good round of pool, a couple of drinks at a nearby bar. Totally dread the thought that we've got work the very next day.
Registered ourselves with the 'gong an' (police in chinese!). We are supposed to register ourselves 3 days after we arrive, thought that the security guards just below our house will do. (yes, cause they are called 'gong an' too!) But it turned out that we went to the wrong personnel to settle.
I tell you, the police officers irk me, they make me mad.
We went to the police station to explained our cases, in turn we got an earful from this policeman that was yelling at us in chinese, he also went on telling us our penalties; integregated in the integregation room for half the day, fined and then going to the court to settle the case.
He added on that there is no certainty that the court would grant permission.
emphazising that we are doomed for sure, there is no way out kinda attitude.
He seems so cocky about it luh! I think he derives joy in seeing us getting into touble. (sadistic!)
They talk so fast, its impossible to register until we got someone had to translate it for us.
We gave the blanked out look after we heard that, seriously!
It's not nice to get involved with the law esp in a foriegn land, somemore china.
I think what made him even madder is that instead of giving him the worried faces, we gave him that puzzled 'what are you talking look.' HAHA
Yes i do admit, our fault really, we never check properly, lesson learnt.
But yes, not to worry, were given another alternative.
Not by going through the horrendous punishments we got figured out and settled it eventually. (: you see, there are solutionsss, mr policeman!!

staying with friends are seriously jokes, funny people man! :D
I've been eating alot alot, i need to cut down on my intake!
I have trouble reading food menus, they are all in chinese. oh wells.
i think i need a chinese-english food menu translator. (:
Gossip Girl dvd on a sunday!
Looking forward to my weekend, Monday, shopping day! HAHA (:
